Wewak Harbor

Wewak Harbor, located in the East Sepik Province of Papua New Guinea, is a historical gateway to the region.  The town of Wewak, situated on the harbor's shores, was once occupied by the Imperial Japanese Army during World War II, and later liberated by Allied forces. Several Japanese shipwrecks still lie beneath the harbor's waters.

Wewak boasts some of the world's most stunning beaches, perfect for swimming and sunbathing. Delve into the region's history and culture through local museums. For adventure seekers, Sepik Adventure Tours offer cultural experiences and kayaking adventures, while Ecotourism Melanesia provides boat tours to explore the natural beauty of the area.

The Wewak Shopping Mall offers a modern shopping experience with a variety of shops and a food court. For a more authentic experience, explore the bustling traditional markets where you can find local produce, seafood, arts, and crafts. While nightlife is relatively quiet, you can unwind at local spots or enjoy the tranquil harbor views.
