Kiholo Bay, nestled in the Puʻu Waʻawaʻa ahupuaʻa on Hawaii's Big Island, is a captivating natural wonder. Originally a man-made fishing pond created by King Kamehameha the Great, the bay's unique character was shaped by a lava flow from Mauna Loa in 1859, resulting in its distinctive black pebble beaches.
