Zirkuh Oil Field, Az Zarqa Petroleum Port

Situated approximately 55-90 nautical miles off the UAE's coast in the Persian Gulf lies the Zirkuh Oil Field. This oil field plays a critical role in the country's energy sector, contributing significantly to its oil production.

Beyond its industrial significance, Zirkuh also boasts a unique history waiting to be explored.  Zirku Island, once a haven for cormorants and other avian life, now houses oil refining facilities, a petroleum terminal, and even an airport.  Similar to the Zirkuh Petroleum Port, the oil field isn't suitable for nightlife or shopping excursions.  However, the opportunity to witness the vastness of the open sea and potentially catch a glimpse of busy tankers can be a fascinating sight.
