Sharmah, Ash Sharmah

Sharmah, located on the coast of the Gulf of Aden, was once a thriving medieval trading port.  This historic town was deeply involved in Indian Ocean trade until its abandonment around 1180.  While Sharmah itself offers limited documented attractions, neighboring towns like Duba, Tabuk, and Al Wajh are worth exploring.

However, beauty can still be found in Sharmah.  Relax on the pristine sands of Sharma Tabuk Beach, considered one of the most beautiful on the Red Sea coast. Explore the crystal-clear waters surrounding Tiran Island, or embark on an underwater adventure with Infinity Divers.  For the active traveler, Kite Addicts Sharm offers water sports and windsurfing opportunities.

Sharmeh's shopping scene might not be extensive, but you can discover unique finds at local markets and shops.  The nightlife is more subdued, offering relaxation at cafes and restaurants.
