As Sidr, Abyar As Sirs, Es Sider

As Sidr, a port situated roughly 23 kilometers west of Ras Lanuf, holds the distinction of being Libya's largest oil depot, shipping approximately 447,000 barrels per day.  During the Cold War, this port's name lent itself to an alternative designation for the Gulf of Sirte, the "Gulf of Sidra."  Located right next to the port is Sidra Airport.  Similar to Ras Lanuf, As Sidr's primary function is as an oil hub, and documented tourist attractions are scarce. However, visitors can enjoy the peaceful coastal ambience and explore the city's unique character.
