Darnah, Derna

Darnah, also known as Derna, is a port city in eastern Libya with a rich and complex history.  It was once a prominent city, serving as the seat of one of the wealthiest provinces among the Barbary States. Today, Derna is the administrative capital of the smaller Derna District.
