Rothesay Dock

Rothesay Dock, situated on the upper Clyde in Clydebank, is a haven for boating enthusiasts.  This specialized boatyard boasts the River Clyde's largest boat hoist, capable of lifting up to 75 tonnes.  They offer various services, including boat storage (both afloat and ashore), visitor berthing, and mast stepping.  Additionally, the Clyde Boatyard Brokerage Department, located within the boatyard, facilitates the sale of commercial and leisure vessels.

While Rothesay Dock itself isn't a tourist destination, you can find numerous attractions in nearby Rothesay on the Isle of Bute.  Explore the magnificent Mount Stuart mansion, a Victorian Gothic architectural marvel, with a guided tour.  Step back in time and visit the unique and still-functioning Victorian Toilets.  Immerse yourself in the beauty of Ardencraig Gardens.  Delve into history at Rothesay Castle or climb the hill to the ruins of St. Blane's Chapel, both offering stunning views. Sample gins and enjoy friendly service at the Isle of Bute Distillery.  The quirky Bute Museum and the well-stocked Print Point bookshop are also worth a visit.
