Sullom Voe

Sullom Voe Oil Terminal, located in the Shetland Islands of Scotland, plays a crucial role in the UK's energy sector.  Constructed between 1975 and 1981, the terminal handles oil and gas production from the North Sea and East Shetland Basin.  Queen Elizabeth II officially opened the facility in 1981, and despite facing challenges like an IRA bombing, it has remained a vital part of the UK's energy infrastructure.
