Scalloway

Scalloway, a charming port town on the Shetland Islands, boasts a rich past as the island's capital in the 17th century.  Today, this picturesque town with a population of around 1,200 people offers a glimpse into its fascinating history.  Scalloway Castle, a prominent landmark overlooking the town, was built between 1599 and 1607 using forced labor under the orders of Earl Patrick Stewart.
