Bruges (Dutch: Brugge) is the capital and largest city of West Flanders province in the Flemish Region of Belgium, situated in the northwest part of the country. With a population of around 118,509, Bruges is renowned for its well-preserved medieval architecture and canals, making its historic city center a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
