Cambridge Bay

Nestled on Victoria Island in Nunavut, Canada, Cambridge Bay, or Ikaluktuuttiaq in Inuinnaqtun, meaning "good fishing place," is the largest settlement on the island. Everyday necessities can be found at the Northern Store, while the Ikaluktutiak Co-op is a treasure trove of local art and handicrafts.  While nightlife options are limited, the community comes alive each May with the Omingmak Frolics, featuring seal hunting and ice carving competitions, alongside fishing contests, talent shows, and exciting dog sledding and snowmobiling races.
