Bernard Harbor

Located on the mainland of Nunavut, Canada, Bernard Harbor, also known as Nulahugiuq, boasts a rich history. Situated on Dolphin and Union Strait, southwest of Sutton Island, this bay was once a vital Hudson's Bay Company trading post. It also played a role in continental defense, serving as a Distant Early Warning Line site in the past and now housing a North Warning System station. The closest community is Kugluktuk, roughly 100 kilometers south.
