Udang Oilfield
Udang Oilfield, situated in the
Natuna Sea, approximately 1,000 kilometers north of Jakarta, Indonesia, is a
significant contributor to the country's oil production. Discovered in 1974 and
commencing production in 1979, the field boasts multiple wells, producing
around 25,000 barrels of oil per day. Operated by ConocoPhillips in partnership
with other companies, the Udang Oilfield is a key player in Indonesia's energy
landscape.
While primarily focused on oil
production, the field offers opportunities to observe the complex operations of
an FPSO and other associated facilities. The remote location of the Udang
Oilfield provides a unique opportunity for stargazing, offering a clear view of
the night sky.
