Kizomba A Terminal
Kizomba A
Terminal, located around 200 nautical miles off the Angolan coast, is an
offshore facility servicing the Hungo and Chocalho oilfields in Block 15. The
terminal consists of several key components:
* The Kisomba “A”
FPSO,
a massive vessel operated by Esso Exploration Angola. This workhorse boasts an
impressive length of 285 meters, a beam of 63 meters, and a storage capacity of
2.2 million barrels of oil.
* A CALM Buoy,
moored roughly 1 nautical mile north-northwest of the FPSO, facilitates mooring
and offloading operations.
* A dedicated
Drilling and Wellhead Platform connected to subsea wells for oil extraction.
With
approximately 24 vessels visiting annually, Kizomba A Terminal plays a
significant role in Angolan oil production.
