Gamba Oil Terminal
The
Gamba Oil Terminal, located 185 km
northwest of Gabon's border with Congo, plays a vital role in the country's oil
industry. It serves as an export hub for crude oil produced in the Gamba/Ivinga
and Rabi/Kounga fields. The terminal consists of a tank farm and a Single Buoy Mooring
(SBM) situated about 5 nautical miles offshore.
While
the terminal itself is focused on industrial activity, the nearby town of Gamba
offers a contrasting attraction for tourists. This town is known for its
remarkable biodiversity, making it a destination for those seeking to explore
Gabon's natural beauty.
