Egina Oil Terminal
The Egina Oil
Terminal, located approximately 150 kilometers off Nigeria's coast in
the Gulf of Guinea, represents a significant achievement in deepwater oilfield
development. Situated at a depth of around 1,600 meters, the Egina oil field is
operated by Total Upstream Nigeria.
With an
expected peak production of 200,000 barrels of oil per day and a total
investment of $16 billion, the Egina project showcases Nigeria's commitment to
expanding its oil and gas industry. While primarily an industrial facility, the
surrounding marine environment offers breathtaking views and opportunities to
observe marine life.
