Ashtart Oil Terminal
Ashtart Oil Terminal is an offshore tanker terminal located
southeast of Sfax, Tunisia. It comprises three berths and handles crude oil
exports, contributing to Tunisia's oil industry.
While the terminal itself is primarily an industrial facility, the
surrounding region offers opportunities to explore nearby attractions. Matmata, with its troglodyte
dwellings, Douz, the gateway to the Sahara, Chenini, the Berber village, and Ksar Ghilane, the desert oasis, are all
within reach.
Shopping opportunities are limited at the terminal itself, but visitors
can explore the nearby towns for traditional Tunisian crafts and souvenirs. As
for nightlife, the industrial nature of the terminal means limited options, but
visitors can enjoy the local atmosphere and explore cafes or gatherings in the
surrounding areas.
