Ras Lanuf
Ras Lanuf, a city on
Libya's northern coast, is a vital center for the country's oil industry. The Ra's Lanuf Refinery, operational since 1984,
boasts a capacity of 220,000 barrels of crude oil refined daily. This refinery, along with the city's
petrochemical complex and oil terminal, is under the management of the Ra's Lanuf Oil
& Gas Processing Company, a subsidiary of the Libyan National Oil Corporation. Several oil pipelines, including Amal-Ra's Lanuf,
Messla-Ra's Lanuf, and Defa-Ra's Lanuf, also run through the city. While information on specific
attractions for tourists is limited, Ras Lanuf's coastal setting offers scenic
views and the chance to experience Libya's unique environment.
