Sulina, Suluna
Sulina, a town and
free port at the mouth of the Danube River, holds the distinction of being
Romania's easternmost point. Boasting a
rich history dating back 2,700 years, Sulina thrived as an important port
during Ottoman and Russian control periods.
Following the Russo-Ottoman War, it became part of Romania. Today, Sulina's architecture and way of life
reflect the diverse nationalities that have called it home over the centuries.
