Finnart Oil Terminal
Situated on
the eastern shore of Loch Long, the Finnart Oil Terminal serves as a
key player in Scotland's oil industry.
Featuring piers extending into the loch, it provides a deepwater berth
for massive oil tankers. Two pipelines
connect the terminal to the Grangemouth Refinery on the Firth of Forth.
While not a
traditional tourist destination, the terminal's historical significance and
location by Loch Long may be of interest to some visitors, particularly history
buffs. There are no shops or nightlife
options within the terminal itself. For shopping and a livelier atmosphere,
head to nearby towns like Garelochhead or Helensburgh.
