Thamesport
Thamesport, formerly known as London Thamesport, is a small container
seaport located on the River Medway in Kent, England, situated on the Isle of Grain. Initially named Port Victoria, it has evolved from a
container port to provide diverse cargo solutions, including short sea and bulk
cargo. The port features a deep-water quay with extensive road, rail, and barge
connections, strategically serving London and the South of England. With an annual capacity
of approximately 635,000 TEUs (twenty-foot equivalent units), Thamesport offers potential for
future expansion. While primarily an industrial port, visitors can enjoy picturesque views of the Thames River and explore nearby
attractions such as the Thamesport Marina, providing access to local beaches, restaurants, and
entertainment. For nightlife, nearby cities like London, Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Belfast offer vibrant options
ranging from pubs and bars to cultural events and music venues.
