Inlet, a census-designated place in Haines
Borough, Alaska, boasts a small population but offers
access to vast natural wonders. Located on the east side of Excursion
Inlet, an arm of the Icy Strait, this
community borders Glacier Bay National Park to the
north.The main attraction in Excursion Inlet is
undoubtedly Glacier Bay National Park,
a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visitors can access the
park through the Excursion Inlet Seaplane Base, a public-use
facility.
